Michel set for first start

Birmingham City are to give a first start to Michel tonight as they make their second trip to Portsmouth in four days.

Blues boss Alex McLeish is hoping for a better outcome after Saturday's FA Cup defeat to Pompey and is hoping the man he signed in the January transfer window from Sporting Gijon can give them a lift.

McLeish is planning other changes as well as he looks for reaction followingthe 2-0 lose at Fratton Park at the weekend.

Michel has not had his chance to shine for City so far with only the occasional run-out as a substitute since moving to St Andrews.

The Blues have no fresh injury worries to contend with though ahead of tonight's game, has set his team a minimum target of 51 points by the end of the season, after effectively securing top-flight status by reaching the 40-point mark.

That kind of points return should be good enough to guarentee a top-half finish for the season, which would be a good achievement for the club in it's first year back in top flight.
