Striker happy at Eastlands

Togo international star Emmanuel Adebayor wants to stay at Manchester City "for a long time" despite rumours to the contrary.

Rumours are rife as to the future of the striker, who moved to Eastlands from Arsenal in summer 2009.

The latest team to be linked with the striker are AC Milan who are in the city to face rivals Manchester United tomorrow.

This rumour is fuelled by reports that Adebayor had set his heart on a move to the San Siro prior to his move north last summer.

Apparently, the change of management has caused unrest with the striker, who was brought to City by previous boss Mark Hughes, and while he has said that nothing in football is ever definite, this reported unease is not the case. He said: "I signed at City for five years. I am very happy here so far, but you never know. For me, I am a Manchester City player and I hope to be for a long time."
