Wire eye cup repeat

Carnegie Challenge Cup holders Warrington have their sights set on another final according to coach Tony Smith.

The Wire begin their defence of the cup against Championship club Featherstone Rovers, with the fixture taking place over the weekend of April 16-18.

Smith accepts it is a tough draw for the holders, who saw off Huddersfield last year to win the title for the first time since 1974, and feels Featherstone should not be taken lightly.

He said: "That's a tough draw, tougher than most people would think. "

They are one of the favourites from the division below so it will be a tough fixture for us." However, Smith feels now his Warrington side have had a taste of success they will be eager to repeat the feat this season.

He added: "The will to go back and do it again is great from all of us.

For the fans, players and coaches, that would be fantastic.

"It's a new year and you have to start all over again. Just by having the experience doesn't necessarily mean you are going to go back there again. "

It gives you a taste of what it's like and Wembley is certainly a special place.

We'll be fighting to go back again."
