Flood injury update

by Admin , 10 March 2010 Flood injury update

Middlesbrough boss Gordon Strachan will be without Willo Flood for a few weeks but he has not suffered any serious knee damage.

Flood has had a scan on the problem but a full diagnosis is yet to be made because the injury has not fully settled down.

However the initial scan has suggested that there is no serious knee damage.

Flood is definitely out of the clash with Newcastle this weekend but the hope is that he will return sooner rather than later.

Boro coach Colin Cooper told the Gazette: "Willo is 5ft 6in and seven stones wet through, like I used to be, but he holds nothing back and we'll miss him while he is in rehab."
