Striker back in boss' thoughts

Tony Pulis says Dave Kitson has earned another chance to impress and is ready to start his first Premier League match since September.

The former Reading striker has been praised for his attitude after going through a nightmare spell - taking 21 games to get off the mark following his club record £5.5m signing.

Kitson's crisis of confidence led to him being loaned out to Reading and Middlesbrough, but Pulis believes he is now showing signs of being ready for another chance.

"I had a chat with Dave a few weeks ago and since then he has really got his head down," Pulis explained.

"Nobody came in for him in January, but he is still part of my plans.

"We have had so many games over the last few weeks that some of the players are mentally shattered.

"It is a massive game for them and us and Dave is very much in my thoughts."
