Bonnar relishing Banner test

by Oli Skehan , 11 March 2010

Wexford hurling manager Colm Bonnar is confident his side are up for the challenge Ger O'Loughlin's Clare will surely present on Sunday.

The Model County travel west to face the Banner at Ennis in Division Two of the Allianz NHL and the Cashel native believes there'll be no shortage of desire from his understrength team.

"It will be a huge challenge for us but we will be up for the game," the former Tipperary midfielder said.

"We want to go down there and perform well. We know it's a big game for us.

"This is a game which will really show where we're at. We also have upcoming away games to both Carlow and Laois, so we can ill afford to lose a game.

"We will be trying to show commitment and put in a performance. If we lose, it will not be the be all and end all, but at the same time we do not want to damage our prospects of reaching the final."
