Celtic are said to be keen on luring Arsenal striker Jay Simpson to Parkhead when his loan spell at QPR expires.
The 21-year-old has managed 11 goals in 21 games for the Championship side this term and has caught the eye of several top clubs.
He is highly thought-of by Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger but, with the likes of Nicklas Bendtner, Theo Walcott and Carlos Vela all currently ahead of him in the pecking order at the Emirates, it is thought the youngster could be allowed to leave.
That has alerted Hoops boss Tony Mowbray, who took him on loan when he was West Brom boss, and a deal could be struck between the two sides.
