Geordan Murphy looks set to end his career with the Leicester Tigers after revealing he is on the verge of signing a new three-year deal with the Guinness Premiership outfit.
The 32-year-old Ireland international, who will start at full-back in Saturday's 6 Nations clash with Wales, has been with Leicester since 1997 and is looking forward to extending his stay at Welford Road.
"It's a good offer and the club were happy to put it on the table," said Murphy.
"I'm 31 now, so the new contract would take me to 35. The way I play the game helps. I've never been a big-bosh monster.
"I don't run into people and don't try to make any massive hits. I just try to get by with what I've been given.
"I'm playing well and enjoying my rugby so I think I've a few years left in me."
