Fit-again winger Matthew Etherington has assured Stoke fans that he will not take long to get back to his best.
The ex-West Ham star returned to action at Burnley after three and a half weeks on the sidelines, having twisted his knee in the first half of Stoke's FA Cup fifth-round tie at Manchester City
He said: "I have been doing a lot of work anyway.
"
Five days to a week after I was injured, I could do runs in a straight line.
The only problem was twisting and turning, but I have kept my fitness up - the manager hasn't let me off on that one.
I have been running most days.
"I will probably get stronger with games, but I felt pretty good in this one."
