Ricardo Carvalho, Deco and Michael Essien are all major doubts for Chelsea's game against West Ham while Michael Ballack may return.
Portuguese defender Carvalho has a thigh problem and missed last weekend's FA Cup quarter-final victory over Stoke so is unlikely to face the Hammers.
Deco and Essien also look unlikely to be fit with both struggling to overcome knee injuries and could join the likes of Petr Cech, Ashley Cole, Juliano Belletti and Jose Bosingwa, who will all definitely miss Saturday's game.
The only good news for manager Carlo Ancelotti is that Ballack returns from suspension having been sent-off in the 4-2 defeat to Manchester City two weeks ago.
