Brian Laws is confident key forward Steven Fletcher will return for the massive relegation clash against Wolves on Saturday.
The Clarets earned their first point in the last five games with a 1-1 draw against Stoke in midweek and punters looking to use their free bet will no doubt have taken note that the manager is hopeful of welcoming the club's top scorer back as they bid to avoid the drop.
Fletcher has missed the last two games after breaking his hand while on international duty with Scotland, but Laws insists he has a "great chance" of playing against Mick McCarthy's men at Turf Moor after coming through training without any problems.
"Fletcher still has a great chance," Laws said. "He just missed out on Wednesday (against Stoke), but another couple of days under his belt on the training ground might give him a great chance for Saturday, for sure. "
He's a great player for us and we're better for him in it (the team) than out of it.
"If you do have someone who can score goals for you he is a key member of your team, like Fletcher."
Burnley are level on points with Wolves but remain in the bottom three as they have an inferior goal difference.
The Clarets have also played one game more which places added significance on the weekend's head-to-head as they are in danger of getting cut adrift with West Ham three points clear.
