Birmingham City are set to welcome Lee Bowyer back from illness as they play host to Everton in the Premier League on Saturday.

The Blues midfielder was ruled out of the midweek win at Portsmouth by the virus when Blues boss Alex McLeish decided to rest several regular players.

Sebastian Larsson, James McFadden and skipper Stephen Carr are also expected to return to the starting-up for the clash with the Toffeemen.

Carr will come straight back in at right-back for Stuart Parnaby who suffered an ankle injury at Fratton Park in the latest of a series of setback for the former Middlesbrough defender this season.

Meanwhile, veteran striker Kevin Phillips is struggling to shake off a hamstring strain.
