Clive Cox has no plans to give Xtension a run before the stanjames.com 2000 Guineas at the start of May.
A winner of two of his four starts, Xtension is one of the leading fancies for the first Classic of the year and after pleasing Cox over the winter it is unlikely that he will be seen before Newmarket.
"Xtension is very good and is making steady progress as we build him back up to full fitness," said Cox.
"I'm very happy with how he's strengthened up over the winter and I'd say it's quite likely he'll head straight for the Guineas at Newmarket.
"He'd have to carry a penalty if he went for the Craven and I wouldn't be keen on that.
"The other options would be the Greenham Stakes at Newbury so, at the moment, Newmarket is likely to be his first run back."
