England winger Ugo Monye is expecting a frosty reception when England face Scotland at Murrayfield on Saturday in the RBS Six Nations.
The Harlequins player said "It will be a tough evening if we lose up there.
"The mindset has to be right. This is the first real big away game in a stadium of 60,000-plus with all that history.
"You have got to enjoy that challenge of playing in volatile situations. Trying to silence hostile crowds is what it is all about.
"The opposition will raise themselves. A lot of rugby is about energy, urgency, passion and emotion and we can't come second in that area. Then it comes down to execution and tactical thinking.
"In the Six Nations all these games have their own history and the countries have their own history which makes it fun."
