Rovers sweat on keeper's fitness

Blackburn are waiting on the results of a scan on goalkeeper Paul Robinson after he limped out of Saturday's 3-1 defeat to Tottenham.

Robinson suffered a calf injury taking a goal-kick during the first-half of the game against his former club and had to be replaced by Jason Brown at White Hart Lane.

Rovers boss Sam Allardyce said: "We'll have to have the calf scanned as soon as we can to see the extent of the tear and then see how long it will take to repair that and get him back fit and well. "

But it gives Jason an opportunity to come into the fray and show us what he can do.

"He's done a great job in the small times he's played this season in the Carling Cup and hopefully that will stand him in good stead and he'll step in and do a very good job."
