Dunguib will face 16 rivals when he bids to justify his 8-11 starting price in Tuesday's Spinal Research Supreme Novices' Hurdle at Cheltenham.
Philip Fenton's seven-year-old was a very easy winner of the Weatherbys Champion Bumper 12 months ago and has won all four of his starts over hurdles to date. Aside from a poor round of jumping last time he has not put a foot wrong and is odds-on to land the opening race of the National Hunt Festival.
"Everything has gone just fine with him," Fenton reported on Monday. "We've kept him away from the track on purpose because he is a bit excitable; we've had him stabled at Jim Wilson's.
"He did his final half-speed on Thursday and of course it is very exciting to be heading to the first race of the meeting with the hot-favourite.
"We've not had the slightest little problem with him, we wouldn't have declared him otherwise, no setbacks or anything."
The Jonjo O'Neill-trained Get Me Out Of Here is the nearest rival to Dunguib in the market and he, along with Menorah from the Philip Hobbs yard, stood his ground for the two-mile feature.
Ruby Walsh will partner the Willie Mullins-trained Blackstairmountain with Paul Townend taking the ride on stable companion Flat Out, while Paul Nolan will be represented by Far Away So Close.
Oscar Whisky is one of two runners for Nicky Henderson with General Mille also standing his ground for the Seven Barrows handler.
Bellvano, Peddlers Cross and Rite Of Passage were notable withdrawals at the declaration stage but all three have other options over the course of the week.
