England winger Ugo Monye has insisted he will be fit to face France in the Six Nations showdown on Saturday.
Monye was treated in hospital last weekend for a clash of heads with Scotland flanker Kelly Brown, but X-rays have showed no significant damage to his neck or head.
Monye is expected to get the green light to return to full-contract training this week and hopes to be part of the squad for the Stade de France clash in which the hosts will be hoping to seal the Grand Slam.
"I would love to be involved in the match with France and expect to take part in full contact sessions this week," Monye explained to the Evening Standard.
England have also called up Sale fly-half Charlie Hodgson as precautionary cover for Jonny Wilkinson, who also took a heavy blow to the head at Murrayfield.
