Same again for Owls

Sheffield Wednesday have no fresh injury worries and may stick with the side that drew with Swansea when they take on Preston tonight.

Midfielder Sean McAllister missed out over the weekend and is again doubtful as he struggles with a strained stomach muscle injury, while Lewis Buxton remains sidelined with his hamstring problem.

Marcus Tudgay has recovered from illness and was on the bench against the Swans at the weekend as Leon Clarke partnered loan star Luke Varney in attack.

Tudgay is pushing hard for a recall with Varney the most likely man to make way if Alan Irvine opts to change his line-up at Deepdale.

Irvine returns to North End for the first time since being sacked just before the turn of the year and will be hoping for a positive result as the Owls look to pull clear of the relegation zone.

On-loan Wednesday defender Eddie Nolan will keep his place against the Lillywhites after being granted permission by his parent club to play.
