Malcolm O'Kelly will earn his 180th cap for Leinster when he lines out for the province take on Glasgow Warriors in the Magners League on Thursday night.
Michael Cheika has handed home debuts to Eoin O'Malley and Paul Ryan, with the latter starting in the back row alongside Stephen Keogh and Kevin McLaughlin. O'Malley, meanwhile, starts in the centre with Fergus McFadden.
There is a change at scrum-half with Paul O'Donohue coming in alongside out-half Shaun Berne, while Bernard Jackman has been handed the captain's armband.
"Glasgow are a side who always put it up to you. Scottish sides sometimes don't get the respect that they deserve yet themselves and Edinburgh are right up on the top end of the Magners League table, but we know all about the threats that they can pose," Jackman said.
"The Warriors are a tough team to beat and they drew in Connacht, which was no mean feat because we know how hard it can be to go down to the Sportsground and win. They could have even won that game.
Jackman is named in the front-row alongside Mike Ross and CJ van der Linde.
