Stoke boss Tony Pulis has admitted he is undecided over whether to recall defender Ryan Shawcross following his suspension.
Shawcross was shown a straight red for a now infamous challenge on Arsenal's Aaron Ramsey, in which Ramsey suffered a horrific leg-break.
The Potters star has now served his three match ban and is available for a recall, although Pulis admits he may leave the centre-half out of his starting eleven when Stoke face Tottenham on Saturday.
"Ryan is fine as far as the Arsenal business is concerned," Pulis told the Sentinel. "He's got an old head on young shoulders and dealt with it pretty well.
"He's also been well looked after by everyone here at the club and I'm sure the Arsenal thing has gone now.
"But I must admit I'm undecided at the moment about what defence to play against Spurs. "
"There's a hell of a lot of strong competition in there at the minute and it's given me a problem, but a nice problem."
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger refused to back down over his criticism of Shawcross following the injury to Ramsey, but Pulis stated his defender had received letters of support from fans of both Stoke and Arsenal, as well as Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson.
He added: "He's had at least 300 emails from Arsenal fans.
"Everyone has rallied around, and I know the call he had from Sir Alex Ferguson was helpful.
"They know he's an honest kid and there's no doubt about the reception he'll get on Saturday if he's playing."
Standing in Shawcross' way of a return to the starting eleven are Abdoulaye Faye, Robert Huth and Danny Higginbotham, who have all impressed in his absence.
The defender's fine displays prior to the Arsenal game led England boss Fabio Capello to include the Stoke man in his squad to face Egypt, although if he is to stand any chance of being involved in the World Cup he will have to force his way back into the Potters' starting eleven quickly.
