This week's PGA Tour event is the Transitions Championship, at the Copperhead course at Palm Harbor, Florida.
The 7,340 par 71 Copperhead course is one that responds well to experience and, since it has been a Tour event, both KJ Choi and Retief Goosen have won the tournament twice.
It has previously been called the PODS Championship, the Chrysler Championship and the Tampa Bay Classic.
The most difficult hole is the par-four 16th, with water down the right hand of the fairway, but the opener double dogleg par five is no easy start.
With Bermuda greens and a layout susceptible to wind, players with knowledge of the course are more likely to thrive.
Stewart Cink, a major winner at the Open at Turnberry last July, has not been in fine form since that victory, perhaps distracted by the attention his win in Scotland caused.
However, he finished runner-up the last time he played the course in 2008, and third on the course in 2005 when the tournament was part of the Fall Series.
Charles Howell is another with a good record at the course, leading with four holes to play last year, and sixth at Copperhead in 2007.
However, four-time European Tour winner Justin Rose could also threaten. A Florida native now, and three times a runner-up on the PGA Tour, Rose has played this event four times and hasn't finished worse than 30th.
