Bolton defender Zat Knight has moved to cool talk that he could be on the verge of a shock late call-up to the England squad.
Knight has been capped twice by his country so far in his career and Trotters boss Owen Coyle has recently suggested that his form merits further recognition from England coach Fabio Capello.
But the former Fulham and Aston Villa defender has distanced himself from the talk and insisted that, for now, he is only interested in helping Bolton secure their place in the Premier League for another season.
He said: "With the England thing, it's nice to get those kind of words from the manager. It boosts your confidence.
"Since he has come in, he's given everyone a lot of encouragement.
I just want to do well for Bolton and, whatever comes after that comes."
