QPR have allowed League One promotion chasers to take defender Gary Borrowdale on a month's loan.
Borrowdale has not featured for Rangers since Neil Warnock took charge at Loftus Road at the start of the month and is set for an immediate debut for Phil Parkinson's side against Gillingham at the Valley on Saturday.
The Addicks are currently short of cover at left-back following injuries to Grant Basey and Kelly Youga and Parkinson moved to sign the 24-year-old on an emergency loan after on-loan Notts County star Johnnie Jackson was ruled out for six weeks with a hamstring problem.
Parkinson told the club's website: "We're pleased to get Gary on board.
"
I think everyone realises that we need a recognised left-back and Gary is a quality player with a natural left foot who gives us balance on that side of the pitch."
