Galway's Iarla Tannian could be out for the rest of National Hurling League campaign with a suspected broken bone in his hand.
Tannian sustained the injury in Galway's 2-17 to 0-14 defeat to Tipperary last weekend, but awaits a scan on the injury later in this week to find out the full extent of the injury.
However, the Ardrahan man, who has accrued 3-6 from play so far in the League to make him Galways's top scorer from open play, has not been selected for the Tribesmen's starting XV to face Offaly in Pearse Stadium on Saturday (2.30pm).
The Galway management team have made two changes in personnel and two positional switches.
Kinvara's Colm Callanan plays in goal, while Liam Mellows' John Lee replaces Conor Dervan at left-half back.
David Burke joins Ger Farragher in midfield. Aonghus Callanan and Cyril Donnellan play at right-half and centre-forward while Eanna Ryan gets his first National League start, replacing Aidan Harte.
Niall Cahalan is moved into the right corner forward position, joined up front by Joe Gantley and Niall Healy.
