Jermain Defoe is out of Spurs game against Stoke on Saturday with a hamstring injury which is likely to sidelined him for a few weeks.
Defoe, who scored his 23rd goal of the season last weekend, suffered a grade two tear during a training session which while not thought to be serious does need to be monitored closely.
Manager Harry Redknapp already has a number of senior players missing in Ledley King, Jonathan Woodgate, Jermaine Jenas, Aaron Lennon and David Bentley ahead of the trip to the Britannia Stadium.
He has also lost Kyle Walker, who fractured his arm in a training game this week, and Danny Rose to knee ligament damage.
Redknapp said: "We've had a bad spell of injuries but we've got Peter Crouch, Roman Pavlyuchenko and Eidur Gudjohnsen in attack.
"
We are okay there but there are other areas where we are short."
