Striker return boosts Clarets

Burnley have been boosted by the news Steven Fletcher is set to return for the crucial clash against Wigan.

The Scotland striker has been missing for the last three games with a broken hand but could return for the short trip to the DW Stadium as the Clarets go in search of a much-needed win.

Fletcher is likely to go straight into the starting eleven for the relegation six pointer but both Steven Caldwell and Chris McCann are out with groin and knee injuries respectively.

Danny Fox is fit and takes his place in the squad despite leaving the field against Wolves last weekend with a suspected broken rib.
