Watford winger Will Buckley is hoping his performance for the reserves in midweek will earn him a starting place against Cardiff.
Buckley joined the Hornets in January from League Two side Rochdale but is yet to start a game for his new employers.
However, the winger found the net for the reserves in the week and it has been suggested boss Malky Mackay will hand the youngster his first start against play-off hopefuls Cardiff.
