Barry Keniry is hopeful that he will be given the all clear to resume racing, following an X-ray next Wednesday.
The jockey suffered a broken tibia and fibula when he fell at Kelso last October but has ridden out for the last three weeks. He now feels he can finally return to competitive action.
“I’m going for an X-ray on Wednesday and hopefully I should pass that and then I could be back riding in a couple of weeks,” said Keniry.
“The leg still isn’t in shape yet but I went to see Jonathan Lavelle, who is an orthopaedic surgeon and Emma Lavelle’s brother, and he said I should start riding out again three weeks ago.
“Everything has gone well so hopefully I can pass the X-ray on Wednesday and get back, as it seems a long time since October.”
