Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez is determined to keep hold of Fernando Torres but admits they need to finish in the top four.
Following a disappointing season that has seen the Reds crash out of the Champions League early and struggle to mount a serious title challenge, reports have claimed Torres is looking for a move.
Europe's big spenders will be forming an orderly queue should the striker show any signs of asking for a move but Benitez says the Spanish ace is happy at Anfield and wants to stay.
"I don't think so," Benitez revealed when asked whether he will have to sell Torres in the summer. "We don't want to sell Fernando to anybody. I can talk with him and we can go forward. He makes his own decisions but Fernando is a professional who plays hard and is really happy here.
"
He knows we have a lot of good players at the club.
If everything is fine on Sunday he will be very happy.
"The priority now is to concentrate on this year and if we can improve and stay in the top four it will be easier to talk about this. If we can't, we have to keep working and have the belief we will have good players and they will be good enough."
Finishing in the top four is a must though and if they do not make it then Benitez faces a huge battle to keep hold.
