Eagles set to fly nest

Tottenham are being linked with a move for Burnley's Chris Eagles if the Clarets fail in their battle to beat the drop.

The former Manchester United ace has been linked with Everton in the past as well and they may also be interested if he were to become available but it is Spurs who are credited with the most interest and Eagles would be very keen to stay in the Premiership if Burnley were to be relegated.

Eagles was a substitute against Wigan at the weekend and came on for Martin Paterson in the final ten minutes but he has made 17 starts this season and his current deal runs until the summer of 2011.

Former Clarets boss Owen Coyle could also be keen to take him to Bolton and there is sure to be plenty of interest.
