Bristol City chairman Steve Lansdown has revealed he has had plenty of applications to replace Gary Johnson as the Robins manager.
Steve Coppell, Sean O'Driscoll, Gareth Southgate and Alan Curbishley have all been linked with the post following Johnson's decision to leave the club by mutual consent.
Johnson's former assistant Keith Millen took charge of the Robins first-team for Saturday's 2-2 draw with Newcastle and having done such a good job against the league leaders Lansdown says he isn't in a hurry to appoint a new manager.
"Keith showed he can organise the team well and the players gave everything for him and the club," sad Lansdown.
"I have had to re-charge my phone a few times because I have already had dozens of quality applicants.
"
But we are in no hurry to appoint and if things continue to go well it will buy us time to make the right decision.
"Keith is welcome to apply, and if he does he will be considered very seriously. I'll aim to get the names under consideration down to three or four and talk to them in depth."
