Winning start for Lennon

Neil Lennon had a winning start in his first game as Celtic's interim manager, as he watched the Bhoys win 3-1 against Kilmarnock in the Scottish Premier League clash at Celtic Park.

Robbie Keane scored twice, his 11th goal in 11 games since arriving on loan from Tottenham in January, whilst captain Scott Brown was also on the scoresheet.

Craig Bryson, the goalscorer when lowly Clyde knocked the Bhoys out of the Scottish Cup in 2006, netted a consolation for the away side, who inexplicably played four strikers in Kevin Kyle, Allan Russell, Chris Maguire and Mark Burchill.

Keane broke the deadlock eight minutes before the break in fine style.
The Ireland captain received the ball from Brown with his back to goal, nutmegged Simon Ford and beat Scott Severin before chipping a finish over Killie goalkeeper Cammy Bell.

In the 61st minute Keane made it two, when he took a Brown pass on the right, turned inside Frazer Wright and shot past Bell from 12 yards.

Four minutes later Brown made it three when he tapped home Aiden McGeady's cross-shot past Bell.

Bryson reduced the deficit when his cross deflected off the back of Lee Naylor before arcing over Bhoys goalkeeper Artur Boruc.

Celtic continued to make more chances, with Wright clearing a Giorgios Samaras header off the line, and McGeady hitting the bar.
