Striker turns down new deal

Barnsley top scorer Daniel Bogdanovic could be on his way out of the club this summer after turning down the offer of a new deal.

The club's top scorer is out of contract in the summer and is apparently wanted by at least three other Championship clubs, although Barnsley have not given up hope of him signing a new deal.

Director Don Rowing told the Sheffield Star: "Daniel refused a very good contract. We've reviewed our offer more than once, but Daniel didn't want to sign it. It is disappointing. He wants more money than we are prepared to offer at this stage. We have to be prudent, at no stage would we compromise the position of the club. "

Daniel has done really well and scored some important goals, but the deal has to be right for both parties."
