Franck Ribery has signed a new five-year deal with Bayern Munich.

The French international has constantly been linked with a move in recent months, with Barcelona, Real Madrid, Chelsea and Manchester United all suggested to have an interest in taking him out of Germany.

However, the player - who was suspended as his side were beaten 2-0 by Inter Milan in Saturday evening's Champions League final - has now ended immediate speculation by committing himself to the Bundesliga champions until June 2015.

"We are very pleased that one of the best players in the world has agreed to a contract extension," said the Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.

"This is also a sign of the great objectives of FC Bayern in the coming years."

The player is likley to receive a major wage increase as a reult of committing to the club.
