Felipe Contepomi is back in the Argentina squad after a one-year absence for the upcoming Tests with Scotland.
The former Leinster centre, an Amlin Challenge Cup runner-up with Toulon in the season just finished, is part of a 23-man panel named for Saturday’s first Test by coach Santiago Phelan, a group trimmed from a 46-man preliminary panel.
Contepomi’s Toulon team-mate Juan Martin Fernandez Lobbe and Rodrigo of Stade Francais are also in line to feature in the match at the Estadio Monumental Jose Fierro in Tucuman.
Contepomi says he is glad to be back in the international fold and feels the games against Scotland will be important as the two sides have been grouped together for next year’s World Cup.
He was quoted by the Press Association as saying: "I'm focused on this tour because I've been absent for a long time and I want to enjoy these moments with the Pumas.
"We have to get the most out of these matches because we will not play too many games (before the World Cup).
"It helps you know them better. It is also an advantage for them so we must focus on our play and train a lot in order not to commit mistakes."
Phelan will name his starting XV for the game on Thursday, with the second contest between the sides to take place in Mar del Plata on June 19.
