Chelsea could hijack Silva deal

Chelsea could be set to hijack Manchester City's move for Spanish winger David Silva, according to the player's agent.

City had been given permission by Silva's club Valencia to speak to the player but now Julio Llorente has hinted that Silva would prefer a move to Stamford Bridge.

Llorente insists that Silva is free to decide his own destination, regardless of any deal between his current club and the Manchester club.

"We're weighing up offers from three clubs and one is Chelsea," Llorente told the Daily Mail.

"If Silva doesn't want to go to City, the transfer isn't possible."

Manchester United and Liverpool have also been linked with moves for the 24-year-old.
