Championship trio look to Keogh

by Admin , 08 July 2010

Doncaster Rovers, Leeds United and Barnsley are all hoping to take Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Andy Keogh on loan for the new season.

Leeds have not been able to agree a fee with Wolves to take the 24-year-old to Elland Road and Barnsley have also come across the same problem as Wolves look for the best price they can get.

Doncaster want to re-unite the Republic of Ireland international with his striker partner from Scunthorpe, Billy Sharp, and are looking to negotiate a loan deal for the player.

Their manager Sean O'Driscoll said: "To put Andy and Billy together again is something to consider.

"You talk to a lot of clubs about players without making a concrete offer and we've done that with Andy.

"It will all depend on what Andy's situation is with Wolves.

"He knows a lot of our players and he certainly interests us."
