James Beattie could make his debut for Rangers against Kilmarnock on Saturday, having completed his move from Stoke City on Friday.
The 32-year-old is fit to start the match.
Walter Smith's side will, however, be without hamstring injury victims Andy Webster and John Fleck, while Lee McCulloch is suspended.
Kilmarnock will be missing Mehdi Taouil and Alan Combe, with both players currently recovering from double hernia surgery.
Tim Clancy is suspended but James Dayton could play after completing his move from Crystal Palace.
