Tipperary manager Liam Sheedy wants to see Henry Shefflin line out for Kilkenny in Sunday week's All-Ireland hurling final.
Cats boss Brian Cody insists that the brilliant forward needs a medical miracle after severing a medial ligament in the semi-final win over Cork. However, Shefflin has been given until the end of the week to prove his fitness.
Despite the fact that his team would have an easier path to victory in Shefflin's absence, Sheedy wants to beat the best.
"The All-Ireland final really needs to see the best players," said Sheedy.
"You have to measure yourself against the best. The ideal scenario for both counties would be that everyone is available for selection."
Meanwhile, Tipperary captain Eoin Kelly has revealed that he is fully fit for the final despite that back injury that has plagued him for the past year.
"I tweaked the back a week or two before doing something in the gym which I probably shouldn't have been doing," he admitted.
