Rogers replaced in Down side

by Michelle Fortune , 28 August 2010

Ambrose Rogers has failed in his attempt to be included in the Down starting line-up for Sunday's All-Ireland semi-final against Kildare.

Rogers has been struggling with a knee injury sustained in a club match but he will have to make do with a place in the bench after Peter Fitzpatrick was named in midfield.

That is the only change to the side that defeat Kerry in the quarter-final with Dan Gordon remaining at full-back.

Down (SF v Kildare): B McVeigh; D McCartan, D Gordon, D Rafferty; D Rooney, K McKernan, C Garvey; P Fitzpatrick, K King; D Hughes, M Poland, P McComiskey; B Coulter, J Clarke, M Clarke.
