Daly set for new deal

Anthony Daly is set to be reappointed as Dublin senior hurling manager at next Monday night's county board meeting.

Daly was mulling over his future after Dublin's All-Ireland SHC quarter-final defeat to Antrim, but is believed to have come round to the idea of extending his contract, which has one year left to run, and will tell chairman Gerry Harrington that in the coming days.

"We'll have to wait and see what happens," Harrington told the Irish Daily Star.

"We need to sit down and talk to Anthony, though by Monday we would hope to know something. As far as I know he is away for a few days, but when he is back we will be meeting him."
