Starspangledbanner will bid to bounce back from his Nunthorpe Stakes defeat when he lines-up in Saturday's Betfred Sprint Cup at Haydock.
The Australian import won Golden Jubilee Stakes and the Darley July Cup on his first two starts for O'Brien before going down by a length and a quarter to Sole Power in the Coolmore Nunthorpe Stakes last time.
Despite being on the easy list he has been declared to run in Saturday's feature at the Liverpool track with Colm O'Donoghue booked to take the ride in place of Johnny Murtagh, who will be in action at Leopardstown.
In total 16 horses have been declared with Starspangledbanner set to renew rivalry with several of those that finished behind him at York. Prime Defender (fourth), Borderlescott (sixth) and Kingsgate Native (ninth) will all line-up as will the David Nicholls-trained Regal Parade.
Sir Gerry, Serious Attitude, Rainfall and Genki are notable inclusions with Barney McGrew, Doncaster Rover, Fullandby, Markab, Iver Bridge Lad, Our Jonathan and Lady Of The Desert completing the line-up.
