Ulster hand chance to D'Arcy

Ulster have handed a start to Adam D'Arcy at full back for Friday’s Magners League game with the Ospreys at Ravenhill.

The holders travel to Ireland to take on Brian McLaughlin’s side, which features D’Arcy in the number 15 shirt after he impressed as a trialist and starred in the recent friendly clash with Leeds Carnegie.

Scrum-half Paul Marshall is also available to play alongside Niall O’Connor, while David McIlwaine is introduced on the left wing to allow Tommy Seymour switch to the right, with Craig Gilroy injured.

Prop Paddy McAllister is fit to play after picking up knocks to the neck and back in the game against Bath, but Andrew Trimble, Simon Danielli, Jamie Smith, Dan Tuohy, Chris Henry, David Pollock and Bryn Cunningham are all out.

Ruan Pienaar and BJ Botha area away on Tri-Nations duty, but Ireland pair Paddy Wallace and Tom Court are among the replacements.

The Ospreys, meanwhile, hand a debut to wing Richard Fussell, recently acquired from the Dragons, while flanker Jerry Collins captains the team after declaring himself fit to play.

Mike Phillips is not risked, with fellow Wales internationals Ryan Jones, James Hook and Jonathan Spratt all also missing, but Lee Byrne and Shane Williams do make the bench.
