Celtic put three past Hearts

Celtic remain top of the Scottish Premier League after a 3-0 win over Hearts at Parkhead.

Hearts were far from happy with the first two of Celtic's goals with the visitors caught out when Daryl Murphy broke clear and James Forrest was on hand to slot home in the 28th minute.

Hearts claimed the goal should not stand because of offside but their protests were waved away and manager Jim Jefferies was sent to the stands as a result/

Just before half-time Shaun Maloney got the better Marian Kello to double Celtic's lead and despite shouts of offside the goal was allowed to stand.

The visitors' defence continued to struggle and shortly after the break Celtic threatened to make it 3-0 only for Kello to save Murphy's strike.

Hearts did have a penalty claim waved away after David Templeton was taken down by Emilio Izaguirre but it happened on the edge of the box and Celtic pressed for another to put the game beyond their opponents.

As the clock reached 90 minutes Paddy McCourt wrapped all three points when he beat three players to send the ball into the back of the net.
