Preview: Rangers v Dunfermline

by Setanta staff , 21 September 2010

Neil Alexander will start in goal for Rangers for Tuesday night's visit of Dunfermline in the third round of the Co-operative Insurance Cup.

It will be a rare chance for the former Cardiff City man to start between the posts instead of Allan McGregor, while in front of him veteran David Weir will be rested. Andy Webster should come in for him in defence after overcoming a hamstring problem.

Elsewhere Steven Whittaker is suspended, John Fleck is out with a hamstring problem and James Beattie also remains a minor concern.

The Pars' side is likely to feature new signing Jack Ross, but winger David Graham is injured and Paul Willis is also a doubt.

Rangers (from): Alexander, Papac, Weir, Bougherra, Davis, McCulloch, Edu, Naismith, Weiss, Lafferty, Miller, Jelavic, Beattie, Broadfoot, Little, Hutton, McGregor, Webster.
