Rangers leave Aberdeen red-faced

Rangers prouced a remarkable comeback to end their four-year winless streak at Aberdeen and stay top of the SPL table.

The blue side of Glasgow were 1-0 behind after just ten minutes - Scott Vernon latching onto a Chris Maguire pass to drive the ball past Allan McGregor much to the delight of the Pittodrie faithful.

Incredibly, on the half-hour, the home side surged 2-0 ahead when Darren Mackie caught out the away defence with a low cross from the left and and Maguire diverted the ball into the net.

However, Rangers were thrown a lifeline two minutes later when Kenny Miller converted a penalty after Vladimir Weiss was clearly tripped by Jerel Ifil.

The in-form Scotland striker then netted his 10th of the season after 52 minutes when he was on hand to turn home Steven Davis' cut-back and the comeback was complete when Steven Naismith beat the offside trap to unselfishly set up Nikica Jelavic for an easy finish.
