Rangers striker James Beattie has a fresh injury problem and will miss the SPL clash with Inverness Caledonian Thistle on Saturday.
The former Southampton, Everton and Stoke City striker has suffered a recurrence of a hip injury and will miss the next three weeks as his wait for a prolonged run in Walter Smith’s side goes on.
Bosnian defender Sasa Papac may be back against Caley after sitting out the Co-operative Insurance Cup win over Kilmarnock with an ankle injury, while up front Kyle Lafferty’s availability after a bug is a boost, given Beattie’s absence.
Inverness boss Terry Butcher can call on an unchanged squad for the trip to Ibrox, but Gil Blumenshtein, David Proctor and Chris Innes are all still missing with hamstring problems.
Lee Cox (ankle) and Kenny Gillet (knee) are also missing, with all five casualties believed to be a week or two away from returning.
Rangers have won all nine of their SPL games to date this season, culminating in last week's 3-1 Old Firm win at Celtic.
