Rangers suffered their first SPL defeat of the season as they slumped to a 3-0 home defeat to Hibernian at Ibrox.

Goals from Liam Miller, John Rankin and Francis Dickoh gave Colin Calderwood his first win as Hibs manager.

However, Rangers retain their one-point lead at the top of the SPL, as Celtic went down 2-0 to Hearts at Tynecastle.

Ireland international Miller scored the first goal after six minutes, when his 30-ayrd effort took a slight deflection to beat Rangers goalkeeper Allan McGregor.

Hibs doubled their lead after 19 minutes, when Rankin exchanged passes with Valdas Trakys before shooting past McGregor from 25 yards.

Dickoh volleyed home the third in the 76th minute from close range after Rankin's corner was headed down by Sol Bamba.
