Celtic stay in touch

Celtic scored twice in injury-time against St Johnstone at Celtic Park to win 2-0 and keep up the pressure on Rangers.

Neil Lennon's men are two points behind leaders Rangers, who won 4-1 at Motherwell, although they have played a game more than the SPL champions.

Cha Du-ri scored the first from long-range in the first of three added minutes. The Korean cut inside from the right before shooting past Peter Enkelman in the St Johnstone goal.

Fellow Korean Ki Sung-yueng scored a second moments later, after a good solo run.

There was little to inspire in the previous ninety minutes, with the away defence showing good organisation and resilience. Paddy McCourt impressed in patches, and Oliver Kapo hit the post towards the end of the game, but it was not one for the purist at Celtic Park.
