Bayern Munich have been hit by the news Franck Ribery may have suffered a serious knee injury in Saturday's 1-1 draw against Wolfsburg.
The Bundesliga giants had been without the 27-year-old France international earlier this season due to a torn right ankle ligament.
And, it now looks like Ribery will be missing for another lengthy spell after picking up the knee injury when being brought down by Josue on the edge of the box in the 17th minute.
Ribery's knee will be assessed in the coming days to find out the severity of the problem, while they will have been boosted by Dutchman Arjen Robben replacing him to make his first appearance of season after recovering from a muscle injury.
Meanwhile Bayern failed to close the gap on the teams above them after being held by Steve McClaren's Wolfsburg.
Thomas Muller put Bayern in front in the seventh minute and Philipp Lahm missed a penalty for Louis van Gaal's side, but Sascha Riether levelled matters four minutes from the end after Grafite had also missed a spot-kick for the home side.
